LEGENDS OF OGRE GATE CHAPTER 50: THE HAMMER OF THE DEMON MAELSTROM

At Wuxia World, you can follow the story of Sunan and Bao in the Legends of Ogre Gate series by Deathblade. The latest chapter is available HERE. If you want to start from the beginning, check out the INDEX

THE FINAL CONVERSATIONS OF KONG ZHI
This is a book, believed to have been written during the time of the demon emperor. Some attribute it to Sun Mai, as it has some resemblance to his teachings, but other sections are considered outrageously out of character for Kong Zhi, so it is widely considered a fake text. The text claims to be written by two of Kong Zhi's later disciples, shortly before his death and records their final conversations with him. While it contains many passages that sound like words Kong Zhi may have uttered, others appear to contradict his teachings (and some even contradict sayings in the the Final Conversations itself). The book is uncharacteristically pre-occupied with wealth and at times even suggests underhanded means for obtaining it are virtuous.

HAMMER OF THE DEMON MAELSTROM
This meteor hammer has a long black chain and ends with a heavy metal ball carved with a monstrous face. It has a longer reach and is easier to wield than most other meteor hammers. Some claim this was forged by Ruan the Flamingo, others claim the Demon Maelstrom carved it into a meteorite that crashed in the desert. The hammer is widely feared because it devours the wicked. When it strikes someone with negative Karma, the face opens its mouth and eats their flesh. To use it, make a Heavy Melee roll at -1d10 penalty. On a Successful attack it does Muscle+4d10 Damage (up to 7d10) plus 1 Extra Wound for every negative Karma rank the target has. The Hammer of the Demon Maelstrom has a 40-foot reach.
